Today we were reminded that God has appointed us as caretakers for the earth. The Red & Blue Squads explored the Carr Ranch Watershed with guides from John Muir Trust. We discovered how the local plants and animals are interconnected in the ecosystem then discussed how we, as humans in community with one another, also benefit from and contribute to our environment.

The Green Squad wrapped up the last day of camp at CCIH. In line with our”Under the Sea” theme and in light of our discussion today, we discussed taking care of our oceans. Campers decorated reusable water bottles and talked about the importance of limiting plastic use due to pollution build up in the sea. Then, we ended with a big water balloon fight and said our goodbyes to our new friends.
