Day Four here in sunny San Diego was a little bit of a change of pace. Today we all switched around which ministry site we were serving at for the morning.
We had a group at the Bridge of Hope site, where we stay, at a weekly prayer meeting for the community. We also had a group who served at a ministry where they do many different services such as help people get an ID, meet with a notary, use the computer and also get their mail sent to that location. Another group got the rare opportunity to put together packs of kitchen supplies for a refugee family that is arriving in the country tomorrow and another one that already got here. We were told that it would be rare to even have one to put together, so it was a great opportunity for the students.
Tonight we had the night off, so we went to La Jolla Beach for sunset and a bonfire. It was such a gorgeous night and the sunset was absolutely perfect. We roasted s’mores and ate yummy brownies that Hunter’s grandma sent with us and enjoyed some good time together.
To top off all the fun of the day, today was Hannah Lee’s birthday! So we sang the birthday song to her a few times… quite loud.
Tomorrow is our last work day. Please pray that we will finish our work strong and make lasting memories.
