Honk, honk! Beep! Screech! Wheel Day 2018 is rolling on in!

It’s that time of year for Seedlings’ biggest annual social event: Wheel Day. Children young and old look forward to this yearly gathering as a way to get reacquainted with school friends, enjoy the outdoors, eat some snacks, and, of course, play and explore all things “wheels!”

Wheel Day will take place on Saturday, October 20, and will be open to the entire local community. Rain or shine, the LOPC parking lot will become a gathering place for guests to enjoy food, friends, and a variety of vehicles. In prior years, this event has featured a fire truck, a school bus, police cars, a moving truck, construction equipment, motorcycles, a mobile dentist van, and much more. Not only will the children experience the joy of seeing their favorite vehicles, but they will also be able to climb, honk, steer, and explore inside of them. The Encore mobile gymnastics truck will also be there to invite children inside to flip, swing, and bounce, and the ride-on toy cars will give kids the opportunity to drive around some mini-wheels of their own. In addition, Wheel Day will host a bake sale and a used book sale. This year, the proceeds from these sales will go towards the LOPC Mission Trip to Zimbabwe. A group from LOPC will go with the JF Kapnek Trust Foundation to renovate preschools for children in need in Harare, Zimbabwe. The kids love that when they buy a treat, they are making a small contribution to a great cause.

Wheel Day offers hands-on fun and learning for the whole family. Bring your kids, grandkids, friends, and neighbors!

We hope to see you on October 20th!
