LOPC Campus Update — May 18, 2020
Dear LOPC Community,
We hope you have been finding meaningful connections and spiritual growth through the Zoom ministries and online worship. We will even have Vacation Bible Camp online this summer and mission opportunities that you can do at home. We are a food donation site for Monument Crisis Center and we invite you to drop off non-perishable foods at LOPC in the bins that are available on campus daily. We have collected more than 2,000 pounds of food in the past few months. Thank you for taking care of the most vulnerable among us.
As we continue to shelter in place, our church campus remains closed. If you come on campus, you will notice several staff members who are on campus four days a week performing essential services like fire safety, elevator inspections, deep cleaning and other essential services on the LOPC campus. Some outdoor construction projects will begin soon too. On Fridays, several pastors and the worship team are on campus to prepare for Sunday worship. You will often notice Choicelunch Pantry offering non-contact grocery pick up Tuesday through Saturday. Hopefully you will see all the people enjoying our campus while bike riding and walking their dogs as well. We are thankful our campus, although closed, can still house outdoor activities!
The rest of our campus will remain closed until further notice. Our Return to Work and Campus team is preparing for the campus opening, so we can return to campus for work and ministry as soon as it is permissible and safe to do so as mandated by our county and Contra Costa Health Services. When we have more information about the phases of campus opening, we will share the good news in Connections, LOPC E-Blasts and online at www.lopc.org.
