Faith milestones are opportunities to honor and celebrate children and youth as they grow in faith by marking significant moments along their faith journey.
Here are the faith milestones offered for youth at LOPC:
"Confirmation" for 8th-12th Grade Youth
Confirmation at LOPC is offered to all 8th-12th Grade Youth.
Confirmation is a milestone where LOPC staff and adult volunteers support students as they explore their faith, ask questions in a safe environment, and seek to take ownership over their faith journey. LOPC’s experiential Confirmation program is offered every Spring and youth from grades 8-12 may choose to participate any year they feel ready to consider this step of faith.
Confirmation is also a process that the confirmation student has primary agency over. We strongly believe that if the confirmation student feels at any time this process isn’t for them, they should be allowed to opt out of the program, even partway through. Questions?
