Annual Service Opportunities
- ONE Sunday– A day of service where participants volunteer throughout Contra Costa County with LOPC partners and other non-profits.
- Warm Winter Nights – A two week on-site homeless shelter at LOPC with opportunities to prepare a meal, tutor a child, act as an overnight host and more.
- Christmas Opportunities– LOPC partners with several agencies to fulfill the need that exists annually to help people celebrate in spite of any challenges they may be experiencing.
In the Community
Want to help refugees feel welcome – The International Rescue Committee provides opportunities for refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, survivors of torture, and other immigrants to thrive in America.
Shelter Inc.’s Mountain View Emergency Family Shelter needs people to provide, prepare and serve meals for approximately 30 people. If you are interested call (925) 228-6920.
Contra Costa Interfaith Housing needs help!

Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa
The mission of Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa is to provide community-based food programs and partner services that focus on basic needs. Minimum age to serve with supervising adult is 12 years old, volunteers must be able to stand 3-4 hours and lift up to 25 pounds, and there are opportunities to volunteer in several Bay Area locations.
