One of the most important things that we can do as Christians is to demonstrate God’s love for the world, and our community. Love does affirms that our faith is active, and that we can accomplish great things together. It matters that we are out in our communities doing things that make an impact, to remind others that we love them.
Love does amazing things.
LOPC has dedicated over a decade of working together to serve the greater community. The one day a year that we collectively go out into the community has aptly been named “ONE Sunday”. Though this one day of service has had a tremendous impact in the community, we have decided it’s not enough!
A New Service Opportunity!
September 28 – love does the Trinity Center
Join love does leader Jim Olufson at 9:30 a.m. to load donations collected at LOPC and transport them to the Trinity Center (1300 Boulevard Way, Walnut Creek). Volunteers will help sort and organize the on-site food pantry and clothing shed at the Trinity Center. Contact email@example.com for more information.
September 29- Family love does Project at CCIH
Note: Children 5 and over please
Join others LOPC families in hosting a photo day at CCIH’s Los Medanos Village (LMV) in Pittsburg. A professional photographer will be taking photos of LMV families and LOPC volunteers will lead and join residents in crafts and games. This project allows LMV families who may not have access to a professional photographer to take a special family photo and provide a fun way to build community between and within the families at LMV and LOPC. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
September 29- Family love does MCC at LOPC
Note: Children 5 and under please
Join other LOPC families with children 5 and under to assemble birthday bags and package rice and beans for LOPC mission partner Monument Crisis Center (MCC). This is a wonderful opportunity for families to serve together and get to know each other while modeling the practice of service to others.
