Children’s Ministry Resources
We in Children’s Ministry know that what happens off campus is sometimes more important than what happens here at LOPC. We have a number of resources to help you and your kids take steps in your faith journey no matter where you are:
The Family Faith at Home Blog: Each week, your family is invited to focus on the virtue of the month and reflect on it using a consistent pattern where you gather together in prayer, listen to God through scripture, story, or video, respond to what you have heard, and act in service where God is calling you. We encourage you to find a time this week to gather as a family, say a prayer, listen to or read the prompt, respond as a family to what you have heard, and then act on the suggestion for the week. The blog is currently on hiatus, but the archive offers a wealth of knowledge for you and your family.
The Fantastic Project: This series of videos, uploaded over a series of months in 2017-2018, is designed to help kids navigate a broken world by discussing tough issues like inequality, racism, and other systemic injustices in a kid-friendly way. We believe that the world can be a better place. We believe that our kids will lead the way. We want to center the virtues of kindness, justice, and mercy in their lives, so that they can be the ones to change the world.
Children’s Ministry Conference: Serving in children’s ministry is both a great joy and an enormous responsibility. We know that the people who lead and volunteer in these programs do it not because it’s easy, or because it makes you famous, but because it is one of the highest callings God gives us. This conference is our way of giving back to the leaders and volunteers who do so much for the children in the Bay Area. This is a place where we can come together from different churches to learn from, support, and explore this ministry with one another.
Children’s Ministry on YouTube: Our YouTube channel provides further resources for you and your family to watch, including The Fantastic Project, our series on the monthly virtues, and faith testimonies from kids and youth.
