Care

Our vision is to live as a Christ centered church where members and friends of LOPC are welcomed, cared for, nurtured and encouraged to share in the ministry of Christ.  Our intergenerational care ministers to the needs of the community. — Congregational Care Vision

Congregational care involves supporting and encouraging people during difficult and challenging times across the lifespan. The cross of Jesus Christ calls us to find people in the broken places of life and provide practical, emotional, and spiritual care. There are a variety of ways our intergenerational team provides care and support:

Pastors

Clergy are available to conduct memorial services, as well as spiritual care and support through visitation and spiritual guidance.

Deacons

Deacons respond to many needs; providing meals and emergency assistance, visitation in home and care facilities, and serving home communion.

Intergenerational Ministry

The Congregational Care Ministry partners with Family Ministry, Youth Ministry, and Senior Ministry in sponsoring inter-generational care event(s) which address the needs of families and youth.

Stephen Ministers

Stephen Ministers are trained to provide one-on-one confidential care to anyone facing challenges, and transitions.

Prayer Team

The Prayer Team provides support and encouragement by actively praying for the needs and concerns of LOPC members, visitors and friends.

Senior Care Team

Senior Care Team supports older adults in our congregation and our community. Senior care provides programs and ministries to encourage spiritual and intellectual growth for its seniors and provides care for older adults experiencing changes and challenges.

Support Groups

Congregational Care develops Support Groups as needs emerge and are identified.
