Moms’ Bible Study with Pastor Jaime

4th Wednesday of every month
Social time, 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. • Study, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.

Meet up with Pastor Jaime Polson and other moms for study, fellowship, and prayer on the 4th Wednesday of each month at Sideboard in Lafayette. This fall, Pastor Jaime will lead a book study and discussion centered on Ann Lamott’s Help, Thanks, Wow.

4th Monday Book Group

For many years, this group has been gathering monthly on fourth Mondays from 2:00PM until about 3:30PM. The group reads both fiction and non-fiction books. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

Keep Moving! Series

Tuesdays in September beginning September 7
9:00 a.m. on Zoom

Stretch, Strengthen and Restore with Amy Lynch and her ARM of Care team who are fitness and Pilates instructors.  They’ll lead us in the gentle exercise they use to help their clients repair damage from trauma, by focusing on the body as a sound whole.  ARM of Care’s mission is to use Creative Arts to enable individuals who have been commercially sexually exploited through human trafficking to “find their voice” and reclaim their lives.  To learn more, visit

Freebirds is a social group at LOPC for adults not constrained by kids’ schedules, whether you are a new empty nester, been freed for a while or never had kids! It is for adults looking to make a connection with other adults through shared activities such as meals, hikes, social hours and service work. Group members take turns planning the activities that are scheduled monthly from September to May.

Voyager Ships (65+)

These friendly and open social groups, known as “ships”, offer an opportunity to make friends and to share fun, food, fellowship and service.  There are seven ships that generally meet the third Saturday of each month.  Planned events cover a wide range of activities, including museum visits, dinners out or in homes, trips to the theater, outdoor activities, service opportunities, and much more.  Voyagers also serve the coffee on the LOPC Worship Plaza each Sunday.  The ships range in size from 25 to 70 members, and are made up of couples, and singles, 65 years and older.

LOPCiders – Quilters

A dynamic group which joins together for fellowship and sewing. Quilters of all levels are invited. Quilts are donated to local groups which provide comfort to babies and children. Mondays, 1-4 PM

The “Chicks with Sticks” meet for fellowship and knitting/crocheting. Bring your own projects or work on projects underway for newborn babies and the homeless.
