Welcome Back to The Garden!

THE GARDEN will re-open for in person ministry on June 20th at 9:00 am!

The Garden is our worship and formation experience for kids from six months old through completed 4th grade that runs concurrent with the adult service in the Sanctuary. As always, children and families will continue to be welcomed into worship in the Sanctuary at any time.

Because our children are not yet vaccinated, we have modified our program to comply with LOPC’s COVID protocols to keep our whole community safe. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Everyone must wear masks while inside the Christian Life Center (the building where The Garden is held), even if they’re vaccinated, even if they intend not to wear a mask during worship. We also ask that you not congregate inside the CLC.
  • Children in our Elementary Ministry program will social distance at least three feet apart as much as possible.
  • Because space is at a premium, we will be adhering to capacity restrictions for the time being. Our Elementary Ministry upstairs can take up to 20 children each Sunday, and our Preschool Ministry downstairs can take up to 8 children each Sunday. If an area reaches capacity, we will invite overflow families to worship together in the Sanctuary.
  • If your child is younger than a year old, please contact Preschool Ministry Associate Director Susan Wentworth prior to attending on a Sunday to make special arrangements.
  • Sunday, June 20th will also mark the end of our online version of The Garden on Zoom.

Our staff and volunteers have missed being with your children in person, and we appreciate all of the sacrifices you and your kids have made over the last year to help get the pandemic under control. As we move forward together, please contact Director of Children’s Ministry Ryan Timpte if you have any questions about our policies or procedures.
