The Interfaith Amigos
Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 4:30 pm in the Sanctuary
Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at 11:00 am in Fellowship Hall

"None of us can get there alone. We need each other to heal the global problems we are facing."

On Saturday, Feb 4, the Interfaith Amigos present the first of two programs, appropriately entitled Religion Gone Astray, openly addressing the usual taboos of interfaith dialogue in order to create a more authentic conversation. Known for their unique blend of spiritual wisdom and humor, Pastor Don Mackenzie, Rabbi Ted Falcon and Imam Jamal Rahman will each share engaging stories and enriching insights, while bringing us through valuable lessons learned and experiences gained from their journeys of understanding and healing. The program provides time for Q & A, so come prepared with inquisitive minds.  Childcare is available by RSVP to Kimberley Rogers (925-283-8722 Ext. 237).

On Sunday, Feb. 5th, the Interfaith Amigos present a distinctly different second program entitled Living Into the Heart of Interfaith. Based on their introductory comments, small groups will be formed and they will facilitate an interactive "interfaith workshop" considering and answering specific questions from their own journeys and as a preface to ours. Whether or not you have read their books, Religion Gone Astray and Getting to the Heart of Interfaith, this will undoubtedly prove to be an enlightening experience.  Childcare is available by RSVP to Kimberley Rogers (925-283-8722 Ext. 237).

The events of 9/11 brought the Interfaith Amigos together to share a message of deep hope and profound possibilities for understanding and healing "neighbor to neighbor." Please join us for these programs presented by the Groff Visiting Scholar/Heritage Foundation. For further information, contact Terry Clark.
