Divorce Recovery Workshops
Divorce can be a traumatic experience for men and women. Several times each year LOPC offers a seven week workshop designed to help individuals gain insight into their own experience in a supportive environment. The workshop covers topics such as:
-
stages of divorce recovery
-
recognizing and dealing with feelings
-
letting go of the past and taking responsibility for the future
-
the power of forgiveness
-
setting reasonable expectations
-
co-dependence and moving on!
Information on these topics will be presented, and participants will have opportunities to share their experiences.
Workshops are led by the Rev. Ray Campton, MFCC, an ordained Presbyterian minister. He is a licensed Marriage, Family and Child Counselor with private practices in Berkeley and Concord. He specializes in couples and individual counseling, addiction and recovery, and working with adult survivors of sexual abuse. Reverend Camtpon has been leading this workshop for LOPC for over three years, and participants have expressed much gratitude for his leadership and facilitation.
