Share the Vision Campaign
Scripture exhorts us to be good stewards, to build wisely, always with Jesus Christ as the cornerstone. As a family committed to the glory of God, we know that the spaces we create must reflect this commitment as well, whether it is the Sanctuary, the Chapel, the new Christian LIfe Center, Fellowship Hall, the labyrinth that signifies the sacred mission of our paths, and now the Ministry Center, so important to carrying on the work of the Gospel.

Like the generation before us, we owe this to the generations to come.
Share the Vision Documents:
What is our need?
The Share the Vision Campaign reflects the next step in renewing and revitalizing our facilities. The first step saw the recent construction of the Christian Life Center, the worship plaza, the upgrade of utilities, Sanctuary heating and cooling and expanded restrooms. The need now is for a ministry center building that will serve and support the staff, lay leaders and volunteers. Currently, church offices are scattered and cramped, workspace is limited and meeting spaces are inefficient and inflexible for new team-ministry patterns. A new ministry center will provide physical space designed to meet the needs of the next generation of believers.
What is the project cost?
Profession estimates put the cost at approximately $7 million including architectural fees, furnishings and landscaping.
Can't we remodel the existing building?
Just bringing the old building up to code would cost $2 million, not including cosmetic improvements or hazardous materials removal. The interior supporting walls would not support the new team ministry style.
The new building will be a place that welcomes visitors, friends and members alike. The design envisions open spaces in which work areas can be grouped according to need, spaces where staff and volunteers can work together in teams. Bright, inviting areas equipped with needed resources and supplies close at hand honor the efforts of busy volunteers. An enlarged oak Room relocated to the center of campus will nearly double the capacity for large gathering, allowing easy access to the kitchen.
In short, the new ministry center will be a building for the many, not just the few, that will allow us to carry LOPC's ministry out into the world.
What can I do?
Share the Vision! You are this church. You have a part only you can give.
Look for God to direct your way. Ask not what you should do, but listen for what God would do through you - through God's grace and your faith. There are many ways to give to this campaign. We are being asked to make a three-year pledge to the Share the Vision Campaign. Alternatively, immediate or schedule contributions of cash, appreciated securities, property and estate-planning gifts are encouraged and the church will consider other ways to accommodate your wishes.
What should my Capital Campaign gift be?
Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice is the theme that describes our understanding of stewardship. The phrase restates the biblical principal of proportionate giving. Everyone can make a prayerful, sacrificial gift. We encourage a sense of commitment throughout the congregation with each person prayerfully determining his or her own gift to Share the Vision.
What if we do not raise all the money?
For now, our focus is on what God would do through us as we share the vision. It is impossible to determine our future until our congregation responds with commitments.
When would construction begin?
Detailed planning will start at once. Actual construction is expected to begin in January 2008 and finish in January 2009.
