Chaplaincy
Our chaplain extends the care of the church to members in hospitals and sub-acute facilities, in assisted living facilities, and at home. He offers spiritual support through visitation, reading the Bible or praying with individuals or family members. The chaplain acts as a liason bewteen the church and the Rossmoor Parishes.

Thursday Fellowship Program
Thursday, 11 AM - 1:30 PM, excluding holidays and summer months
The Thursday Fellowship Program has operated continuously for more than 30 years, providing  a consistent, caring community for older, frail adults. Operated by LOPC volunteers, the program provides a shared lunch, music, and other entertainment, educational programs, light exercise and special activities.  Guests whose needs exceed the abilities of our volunteer staff are asked to be accompanied by a family member or professional caregiver.  The program provides a caring lifeline to those elders who want to assure their ties with a larger community. Some transportation assistance is available.  Thursday Fellowship is a member of the Contra Costa Network of Day Care Providers.

Targeted Community Partnerships
Senior Care Ministries have partnered with several local community based organizations whose activities are aligned with our overall mission:
Caring Hands associated with the John Muir Medical Group assigns trained volunteers to support one homebound senior over time.
Spirit Van provides local transportation to doctor appointments and the grocery store.
Alzheimer’s Association of the East Bay provides education and support for caregivers.
Tremble Clefs supports those with Parkinson’s Disease and their families through singing for joy and to strengthen vocal muscles. Tremble Clefs meet weekly at LOPC.
