Registration for 2009-10 School Year and Summer Session

Priority registration is given to those families currently enrolled in our Seedlings program, next we register any of their siblings who are not currently enrolled in our program. After this is complete, we then register in this order:

  • Members of LOPC, having completed the required Membership Class
  • Families on ’08-’09 waiting list (you filled out a registration form & paid the $20.00 fee between prior to 12/31/08)
  • Community Registration

Cash or checks are accepted for payment of fees.  If you reserve a space in our 2009-2010 school year program, you will be asked to pay the registration fees ($60 for the first child, $20 for each sibling), and ½ of the September tuition to hold your child’s space in the program. If you are placed on the waiting list, a $20 nonrefundable fee is required. *These fees are subject to change

LOPC Members

Current LOPC members who are also on our ’08-’09 waiting list will be given priority. You will be assigned a priority number based on the date you first registered for our waiting list . If you are an LOPC member that is not on our current wait list, you will be registered on a first come, first served basis after the church members who are on our waiting list have been registered. If you are currently on the '08-'09 Waitting List, you will receive a Renewal Packet in the mail in February. You must complete the renewal form and return it to the office on or before 2/26/09. You will be notified by March 20 of your enrollment status for the '09-'10 programs.

Current (’08-’09) Wait List Members

Currently, our wait list is closed. Registration will be done by priority number. You will be assigned a priority number based on the date you first registered for our ’08-’09 waiting list. Registration will be done in order of these priority numbers. When two families have the same registration date for enrolling on the waiting list, a lottery system will be used to determine priority numbers. If you are currently on the '08-'09 Waitting List, you will receive a Renewal Packet in the mail in February. You must complete the renewal form and return it to the office on or before 2/26/09. You will be notified by March 20 of your enrollment status for the '09-'10 programs.

Community Members

Community member means that you are not currently enrolled in our program, registered on our ‘08-’09 waiting list, or a current member of the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church (LOPC) . Registration will be done on a first come, first served basis. At 9 AM we will post a sign-in sheet. We will begin registration in the order of the names on the sign-in sheet beginning about 10 AM.  You may call on or after Friday, March 20, to find out if there is available space in the ‘09-‘10 school year program based on our currently enrolled Seedlings families.

Important Registration Guidelines

Space in all Seedlings classes is limited and may be filled prior to the March 24th registration date (by current Seedlings families, church members or families who are on our ‘08-’09 wait list). If a space is not available at the time you register, you will be placed on the 2009-2010 school year wait list for a $20.00 nonrefundable fee (this will be applied towards the annual registration fee if you are placed in the program at any time during the ’09-’10 school year).

You must come in person to register on the above registration date. If you are not available to come in person, you may have someone else come and register you. You may register for the wait list, by mail, beginning March 25, 2009.

Registrants are welcome to come early for the Church Member and Community Member registration and wait to place their name on the sign-in sheet, however we ask that you not come before 9 AM. Once you place your name on the sign-in sheet, you may wait in the registration room until your name is called. Registration for Community Members will be on a first come, first served basis. Once you have registered with one of the Seedlings Directors, you are free to leave. This process may take 1 hour or more depending on how many people are waiting.

Registrants should watch the “space availability” board in the registration room. As spaces fill up, we will notify those waiting via this information board.

Children are welcome; we will have puzzles and activities for them to do. However, please note that the Seedlings classrooms and playground are off limits.

Summer Session
Children may attend 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week for whole or half days. Children must be between 15 months and 5 years old.
