Seedlings Preschool
Lifelong personal development begins in childhood and includes emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual growth. Although most of this development takes place in the family, Seedlings provides a learning center which addresses these needs of young children and supports the families of the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church and the local Lamorinda community.
Seedlings uses a multi-cultural curriculum, which includes the Christian traditions. Seedlings extends the invitation to be a part of the church family through a variety of programs.
The primary goal of the program is building self-esteem. The emphasis on play provides a world, both real and imaginary, where children can master their environment, make choices and develop a sense of belonging.
Parents can benefit from play also. Taking time for themselves and nurturing their own development enhances their ability to parent effectively.
