Our Mission
To provide a play-based, child centered learning experience which nurtures the emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual needs of young children. Seedlings’ core values include excellence in staffing and planning; a developmentally appropriate and safe learning environment; and support of parents and families. Our intent is to model and encourage the Christ-like values of responsibility, belonging, joy, respect, tolerance, compassion and charity.
Teachers
Teachers at Seedlings are child development specialists who design curriculum to stimulate the whole child. Our emphasis on play provides a world, both real and imaginary, where children can master their environment, make choices, develop a sense of belonging and build their self-esteem. Our staff utilize the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to stay up to date with the early childhood profession.
Parents
Seedlings provides support and encouragement for parents as they navigate parenthood. Together, Seedlings and LOPC’s Children’s Ministry provide opportunities for parents to socialize, participate in charitable activities and spiritual development, and attend engaging speaker events aimed at inspiring all to be good parents and role models. Parents are encouraged to explore LOPC’s Family Ministry Center for upcoming events and classes for parents.
