LOPC Family and Youth Mission Trips

 

LOPC Youth Ministry, in conjunction with Mission in Society regularly sponsor youth and family mission trips.

 

2008 Middle School Summer Mission Trip


LOPC has a 12 year tradition of building homes in the village of Cerro Azul, Mexico (just South of the border near Tecate). From July 12 - July 20, 2008, Middle Schoolers, advisors, and the LOPC Youth Ministry team will deepen their faith, build bonds with each other, and work to improve the lives of residents of Cerro Azul.

 

High School Summer Mission Trip


Each year approximately 50 high school students and 10 adult advisors spend a week responding to Christ's call to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. The team is developing the 2008 plans for a trip in the United States for August 2-10. The high school youth take a domestic trip, with an international trip every four years. The next highly anticipated international mission trip will be in the Summer of 2010 (Recent trips have included Guatemala and Thailand).

 

We always need adult advisors with a passion for serving alongside young people.
