The Warm Winter Nights Family Shelter program provides a clean, safe and warm facility for homeless families with children and seniors. The program is sponsored by the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County. Approximately 50 local churches host  the families on a rotating schedule during the colder months.

This year,  LOPC will host families from November 22  to December 6.   Volunteers are needed to help with the following activities:

• help transform Fellowship Hall into a welcoming space
• serve as an evening host/hostess
• prepare and serve dinners and breakfasts
• provide tutoring and childcare
• provide evening and weekend entertainment

We can find a task to fit your schedule.  More information will be available on the plaza on Sunday mornings.  Your participation is invaluable to the families.
