SHELTER, Inc.  believes homelessness is an obstacle that can be overcome. Every man, woman and child who seekd help is unique and SHELTER, Inc. strives to end their struggles by tailoring services to fit their needs - from rental assistance to housing to providing them with supportice services such as tutoring, employment services and life skills training.

Since 1986, SHELTER, Inc.  has prevented thousands of families from losing their homes and placed thusands more in homes that they maintain on their own.  Fmailies graduate from SHELTER, Inc.'s programs and become self- suffient, providing for themselves and their families.

Each year, SHELTER, Inc. helps over 5000 men, women and children in Contra Costa County.
