Since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita struck the Gulf Coast in 2005, five teams of approximately 20 volunteers each have traveled to New Orleans, McComb, MS, and Houma, LA. From clean-up, to roofing, to constructing new homes, LOPC volunteers have worked side-by-side with volunteers from other churches and Gulf Coast homeowners. People of all churches, faiths, and skill levels participated in the April 2008 LOPC team trip to Pearlington, MS.  The 2009 trip is scheduled for May 2-9th in Houma, Louisiana.
