The LOPC community supports national efforts as they arise. 

 LOPC Hurricane Recovery Team

Since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita struck the Gulf Coast in 2005,  teams of approximately 20 volunteers each have traveled to New Orleans, McComb, MS, and Houma, LA. From clean-up, to roofing, to constructing new homes, LOPC volunteers have worked side-by-side with volunteers from other churches and Gulf Coast homeowners. People of all churches, faiths, and skill levels participated in this national  recovery effort. The LOPC Team has returned to help every year since 2005.
