“What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well: keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
James 2:14-26

Vision

Called by God to act justly, show mercy and to walk humbly with our God, we strive to make a difference in the lives of those in need in our local and international communities. We are a mission-oriented church, a place where all have the opportunity to respond to God’s call to bear witness to the faith and to serve those in need. By using the broad array of gifts and interests of our entire congregation, Mission in Society seeks ways to develop direct relationships with both local and international mission partners with a special emphasis on ministries with children, youth and families, the homeless and hungry, social justice and peacemaking.
