Faith in Action
LOPC offers a dynamic environment in which people of all ages have an opportunity to put their faith in action providing food, shelter, medical care and education as well as time and labor. We partner with existing local, national and international organizations to deliver these necessities throughout the seasons of the year.
Spring
- Participate in ONE Sunday,our annual project-based event (activities at LOPC and off-site) supporting non-profit agencies in our community.
- Join an adult mission trip to Joplin, MO in May. Trip will focus on building and clean-up from last year's tornado.
Summer
- Help Monument Crisis Center send over 50 students to summer camp at the Lindsey Wildlife Museum.
- Organize summer student mission trips.
- Contribute to the Back-To-School Backpack Drive to help at-risk children in Contra Costa County.
Fall
- Volunteer to provide meals, tutoring and fellowship at Warm Winter Nights, a temporary homeless shelter hosted at LOPC.
- Financially support the Atfaluna School for the Deaf in the Gaza Strip.
Winter
- Participate in the Alternative Gift Market.
- Provide gifts for children through Adopt A Child for the Bay Area Crisis Nursery.
