Confirmation
Confirmation is the process by which our youth learn about what it means to be in a relationship with Jesus Christ as a member of the church. Confirmation classes are open to all high school students, with additional materials and responsibilities for those wishing to be confirmed as a member of the Body of Christ at LOPC.
Confirmation Class Schedule
Our 9 week program runs from February 5, 2012 - April 29, 2012
Class meets from 11 to 12:30 in Room 201.
Statement of Faith
Confirmands will write a Statement of Faith, expressing their understanding and interpretation of these concepts, ultimately answering the question 'Do you profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior?' That's a pretty big question, so we have to unpack what the meaning of those words and one's own response to that question. Please hold our confirmands, their mentors and our pastors and youth leaders in prayer as we come alongside the youth of our church in discerning these next steps of their faith journey.
Students are encouraged to involve creative expressions of elements of their faith journey, topics we've covered and questions they may have along with their main written statement of faith.
