Communion Team
Prepares the elements, assists in worship communion, and serves periodic “home communion” to homebound members.
Flower Sharing Team
Delivers Easter lilies and poinsettias from the sanctuary to homebound members and to those in nearly assisted living or convalescent care facilities
Friendly Visitor Team
Equips church members to visit homebound and hospitalized members and friends.
Helping Hands Team
Stocks a freezer with meals to be delivered to people who are recuperating, suffering a prolonged illness, or enduring a family tragedy.
Memorial Reception Team
Provides receptions in the Davies Room or Fellowship Hall for LOPC families and friends when memorial services are held at the church.
Newborn Welcome Team
Provides a hand-made baby quilt and a cradle cross to welcome newborns of church members.
Prayer Intercessors Team
Meets every Monday morning to pray for the needs of members and friends.
Senior Center Support Team
Hosts a Thursday lunch and program for seniors from nearby assisted living and convalescent care facilities. Caring friends and volunteers assist in transportation, craft programs, Bible study, games, exercises, and special activities. Special post-lunch entertainment is provided by guest artists.
Stephen Ministry
Brings distinctively Christian love through one-to-one relationships with those in need. They work with pastors to care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support to people going through a difficult time, such as divorce, grief, hospitalization, unemployment, terminal illness, relocation, or loneliness. The support may be short or long-term with visits averaging one hour per week. Some Stephen Ministers (Visitation Ministers) are specially trained to reach out with care and encouragement to those who are home-bound or in assisted-living situations. More information...
Transportation and Parking Team
Directs parking lot traffic, staffs the electric cart for those who need it, and arranges transportation for members needing help to get to church.
