"Our vision is to live the gospel of Christ as a church- where members and friends are welcomed, cared for, nurtured and encouraged to share in the ministry of Christ."

                   — Congregational Care Vision

Care

Congregational care involves supporting and encouraging people during difficult and challenging times.  The cross of Jesus Christ calls us to find people in the broken places of life and provide practical help.  We want to be known in the broader community as a place where people are healed and restored by God through the work of committed members and pastors together.  There are a variety of ways that spiritual care and support is provided at our church.

Our Pastors
All of our clergy are available to conduct memorial services, as well as spiritual care and support through visitation and counseling.

Our Deacons
The Deacons respond to many needs; providing meals and emergency assistance, visitation in home and care facilities, and serving home communion.  more about Deacons...

Our Stephen Ministers
Stephen Ministers are trained to provide one-on-one confidential care to anyone facing challenges.  more about Stephen Ministry...

Our Prayer Team
Our Prayer Team provides support and encouragement by actively praying for the needs and concerns of LOPC members, visitors and friends. In particular, the weekly Monday Morning Prayer Team meets at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel and lifts up in prayer the requests received during Sunday worship services or via this website.  Confidentiality is key for team members; follow-up calls are made to those requesting them.

Senior Care Ministry
Our Senior Care Ministry supports older adults who may be frail or homebound, or whose life journey has brought them to a place where mounting losses, or failing strength can threaten emotional or spiritual isolation. We extend the caring community of faith outside the church walls to embrace and provide care and support to everyone seeking it.  more about Senior Care programs...

Support Groups
Support groups are formed around common needs, and offer a safe place for sharing and support.
